The recessed ceiling fixture can be used in any indoor space with a system or concrete ceiling. For damp areas, such as a bathroom or outdoor area, a fixture with a minimum IP rating is required. In outdoor areas that are damp but where the fixture is not hanging in pouring rain, an IP rating of 44 or 55 is sufficient. If the luminaire is in contact with running water, a minimum value of IP65 is required. IP65 means that the fixture is waterproof.
